Maintaining an active life for a vintage yacht to preserve the heritage of Auckland’s wonderful sailing history and to showcase the exceptional history of boat building in New Zealand. Scout is the oldest competing 6m in the world. Built from Kauri in Whangarei and launched in Dec 1909. She has recently started competing internationally and is a very competitive boat given her class and size.
